Antiqued Gold or Pewter Saint Teresa of Avila Pendant, Handmade Replica of Antique Medallion from Spain, St. Teresa of Ávila Round Medal
$28.00
Beautiful antiqued gold or antiqued pewter, artisan handmade replica, of an antique St. Teresa of Ávila medallion from Spain. The oxidized finish brings out the beautiful details on this piece. I am blessed to have this original from Spain in my collection and be able to share this replica with you. The medal is 3/4 inch in diameter.
St. Teresa of Avila was recognized as the first woman doctor of the church by Pope Paul VI in 1970. During a severe illness, she developed a passion for mental prayer, a spiritual practice in which St. Teresa heard God’s voice, saw visions, and felt her body levitate. One of her popular quotes is "The important thing in mental prayer is not to think much but to love much.” She is also the patron saint of headaches, sickness, and lace makers.
This pendant is available in antiqued gold or antiqued pewter. The medal can be purchased individually (on a ring), dangling on a 4x3mm cable chain, or dangling on a black suede cord with an adjustable slider bead.
The silver pendant is solid pewter that is then antiqued. The gold pendant is solid pewter finished with a gorgeous 12K gold plating, and then antiqued. This gold pendant is a non-maintenance very high quality finish, but is best protected from chemicals and water. The pewter is lead and cadmium free. No polishing or maintenance needed! These 12K gold finished pieces are a different casting process than my solid gold bronze pieces which do require polishing. Handmade in the U.S.A. by a family-owned company.
A Holy Moments® Artisan piece.
Thank you for visiting my Holy Moments Etsy Shop! This has been my personal shopping account on Etsy for years. I recently decided to open an Etsy shop and display a selection of products from my established Holy Moments on-line and show company (HolyMoments.com).
The artisan jewelry and rosaries are unique to Holy Moments. Many pieces are only a few of a kind due to limited availability of certain gemstones or hand cast items. New, exciting products are always being added to both the Etsy shop and company website.
A portion of profits are donated to the Cancer Research Institute in New York, a leader in immunotherapy research. Please read my shop story for more.
