Absolutely gorgeous shiny sterling silver antique replica of a very rare and beautiful Saint Colette of Corbie medal from France. Holy Moments has limited photography for shiny pieces, but this is solid shiny sterling silver. All dark or gray areas are shadows.
Saint Colette of Corbie is a wonderful patron saint of fertility and expectant mothers. I am blessed to have this original piece signed by the French artist Louis Tricard in my collection and be able to share this replica with you. It is hard to see St Colette's name in her halo, so I have included a picture of the page from a Collectors Medallion book. Saint Colette is surrounded by birds because she is a follower of St Francis of Assisi and also had a great love of animals.
St Colette has an amazing story and was a miracle baby herself born in 1381 in France as she was an answer to her 60 year old childless mother's incessant prayers. St Colette has documented miracles related to babies and fertility such as praying a stillborn baby back to life. She is a Franciscan and reformed the Order of the Poor Clares.

This medallion is 3/4 inch round and can be purchased individually (with a shiny sterling silver ring), dangling on an 18" shiny .925 sterling silver satellite snake chain, or dangling on an 18” shiny .925 sterling silver paperclip chain.
This fine replica piece is cast in solid .925 sterling silver using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. This will test as .925 sterling silver. There is not a sterling or 925 stamp because this is cast to be identical to the original piece.
