Gorgeous .925 sterling silver antique replica of a St. Theresa of the Child Jesus (St Therese of Lisieux) medallion. I am blessed to own this rare original from France and be able to share this replica with you. The medal is signed and hallmarked by the famous jeweler and engraver Paul Emile Brandt. Born in Switzerland in 1883, Paul was a jeweler, painter, sculptor and engraver of medallions. He first exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1906, and in 1921 was listed as a hardstone engraver with Lacloche and Boucheron.
The oxidation and antiquing process on this replica highlights the gorgeous details as well as making this piece very low maintenance.
This oval 3/4” high by 9/16” wide medallion (20mm high by 15mm wide) is available individually (on a ring) or dangling on a 1.5 mm oxidized sterling silver box chain. This fine replica is cast in .925 sterling silver using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation finishing process makes this non-maintenance. This medal is not stamped 925 or sterling because it is identical to the original antique. It will test as .925 sterling silver.
