Fertility Saint Colette of Corbie Gold Medallion and Necklace, By French Artist Tricard, Antique Replica Medal, Patron Saint of Fertility

This is a shiny gold bronze, antique replica, of a very rare and beautiful Saint Colette of Corbie medal from France. Saint Colette of Corbie is a wonderful patron saint of fertility and expectant mothers. I am blessed to have this original piece signed by the French artist Louis Tricard in my collection and be able to share it with you. It is hard to see St Colette's name in her halo, so I have included a picture of the page from the Collectors Medallion book. Saint Colette is surrounded by birds because she is a follower of St Francis of Assisi and also had a great love of animals.
St Colette was a miracle baby herself born in 1381 in France as she was an answer to her 60 year old childless mother's incessant prayers. Saint Colette has documented miracles related to babies and fertility such as praying a stillborn baby back to life. She is a Franciscan and reformed the Order of the Poor Clares.

The medal is 3/4 inch round and dangles on a 1.5x3mm cable chain necklace with a lobster clasp closure.
This fine replica is cast in solid gold bronze using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. Gold bronze does require periodic polishing using a cloth, more or less depending on usage, such as wearing in water. With polishing, it will stay shiny gold since this piece is solid (not plated). A polishing cloth is included.
